Sunday traffic (Lake George/northway/Albany)
DH wants to take DD back to Great Escape on Sunday (for their holiday in the park thing). I'm curious though if the traffic is going to be a nightmare coming back? What do you think? And what time do you think it would build up? Do you think the exit for Crossgates would be all backed up too?
He'll prob go no matter what but I'm thinking there will be a lot of traffic, from all the times I've gone up to VT on weekends/holidays, when we come back Sundays there is a TON of traffic.

Depending on the time of day, it probably won't be too bad until you get closer to the Thruway. I remember coming back from OOT on Columbus Day weekend at around 4pm, and the traffic to get onto Exit 24/I-90 was backed up to exit 4. If there's a way you can get off sooner to get home (like at one of the Latham exits), I'd do that.
I agree with this. They do have signs now, though, along the way, telling you how the traffic is doing and how long it'll take you to get to the Thruway, so he can always judge what route he takes home based on thosee as well. The good thing is the exits down closer to the Thruway are pretty close together, so if things looked backed up earlier than he was expecting, he can always get off a different exit and just go a back way home.
Hope they have fun!
