I just read your response to the post you made to me the other day below. I'm a little slow. :-)
But the program is going really well! Thanks for asking! I am loving it so far. I only have one class this semester, but it's getting a lot harder as the semester goes on and it's taking up a lot of my time with studying and going into the lab at school to perfect my skills. We just learned how to take blood pressure the 'old fashioned' way I guess you'd call it. A lot of hospitals don't do this anymore--but it's the way with the blood pressure cuff and using the stethoscope to listen on the arm right under the cuff. I thought it would be easy, but it's turning out to be a lot harder than I had thought to listen for the sound we're supposed to hear. But I just passed the test on that skill, so I guess my practice paid off. ![]()
But it's going well. Next semester is supposed to be the hardest of all, so I'm a little nervous for that. I will have 4 classes, and we'll be learning everything that respiratory therapists do because then we start our first clinical in the hospital in June, so we'll have to learn everything before that.
I am so happy that I decided to go back to school for this though!
