St. Joe

I am dreading the drive west. You're probably smart waiting til 9 to drive out there. I have to haul ass from Southborough to Waltham, grab the husband and the dog and drive back 45 minutes west at around 5pm tonight. If we want to get into a bar in my town we need to be there by 6 or we're not getting in anywhere.

Re: St. Joe

  • Legit, I might cry.  The holiday traffic west (which is normally 2.5 hours for us to get from NR to Pittsfield/ Dalton) today and Christmas Eve have been averaging us 4.5 hours.  Unreal. I decided to bring a flask with me in the car, my LOST dvds, and the charger thingy B has to plug into the car so my laptop doesn't die.  Shoot me, yo.
I'm friends with everybody in this office. We're all best friends - I love everybody here. But sometimes your best friends start coming into work late, and start having dentist appointments that aren't dentist appointments. And that's when it is nice to let them know that you can beat them up.
  • I don't have nearly that long, but either way it's terrible. do you go 2 west or pike west? I heard on the news last night that they're going to have a lot more tolls open if you're going the pike route.

I have a 30 minute ride from here to Waltham (assuming there's no traffic) and then a 45 minute ride back West which will surely turn into at least 2 hours. FML.

  • We interchange the pike and rt 2.  B wants to go the 2 route tonight, but I think we're going to regret it.  Last time, they were doing construction, and we hit such a bad bump that it legit made my car die.  I was terrified that my car was broken, but luckily it turned back on.  I just know that regardless, it's going to be horrendous.  I don't even want to go home (see the confessions thread) so this is making it 100x worse haha

  • That's deep. Sorry that you have to go through all of that. That makes having to go there insanely shitttty.
