Anyone going bowl-ing?

Any of you ladies gonna follow your fave NCAAF team to their bowl game?

While I would LOVE for Oklahoma State to beat OU this weekend and make it to the Fiesta Bowl, I am perfectly content with us going to the Cotton Bowl because I can definitely go [Dallas is three hours from my hometown].

Just wondering if anyone else had plans to attend a bowl game this year - it's almost that time of year again!

Re: Anyone going bowl-ing?

  • Yes! Hopefully we (Georgia Tech) will end up in Miami at the Orange Bowl. It is DH's present for getting his masters (and will be fun for me too Angel).
  • I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to Pasadena, but it's way out of my budget to make it cross-country.  I'm thankful we made it to Miami last year so I don't feel too bad about missing it this time around.
  • We usually get tickets for the Fiesta Bowl from dh's work and sometimes we go and other times we sell them.  Who are they predicting to be at the Fiesta Bowl this year???

Same here.  We are going to try and make it up to ATL for the SEC Championship, but considering what tickets are currently going for, even that might be a stretch...

It'll probably be two at-large teams...I've been hearing Boise State and Iowa. Oklahoma State has a shot to get in if they beat OU this weekend, but it's a SUPER long shot at the moment.

  • We always go bowl-ing if it's anywhere "close". I've got major mixed emotions about this weekend's game. I REALLY want them to win - that would make me completly happy. BUT, I also REALLY want to go to a bowl game (the Cotton Bowl, preferably). So...

Ehh, not too much of stretch IMO.

  • We may or may not go this year.  It all depends on location, obviously. I would love to, but I don't want to shell out a bunch of money right now.
  • I'm so sad that I won't be able to go this year.  We can't take vacation days until we are there for 6 months and I just live to far away from where UK would possibly go.  I've gone the past 3 years and it just won't be the same watching it on tv.
