Every year I go into full on Christmas decor mode and, the first weekend of Dec I decorate the house from top to bottom. This year, I am soooo not into it and have decided not to even put up a tree. People tend to get a kick out of how over the top my decorations are so, when I tell them that there will be zero decor this year, their reactions are hilarious.

Last night my sis's MIL said, "Well, Mel, pretty soon it will be time for you to decorate. You must have everything all planned out". When I told her I wouldn't be decorating she took this long pause, looked totally confused and said, "That's very out of character for you, isn't it? Where are the rest of us supposed to come to feel Christmas-y?!" lol Cute.

    Your first year in your new house and no decor? Hopefully the family gets over it! You're also not doing Christmas at your house right? I think I remember that from awhile back.

    Sorry Mel, I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought that you were making the wrong decision. To each their own. We're going away at Christmas this year too and I'm super pumped about it. In my case I really want to do Christmas decor but "might" not just based on the fact I would have to buy a whole bunch of stuff and I would rather spend that money other places. You definitely won't miss the decor when you don't have to spend the time cleaning it up.

    bah humbug mel. haha

     

    all we have is christmas tree scented candles and christmas candy plates. we won't be doing anything else. we're also going away for the holidays though.
