I'm Thankful (along with an update)...and a little sugar :)
Though I have always loved Thanksgiving for what it means, this is the first year that it has really hit home. This is the first year of my life that I have experienced true hardship, and it has made Thanksgiving mean so much more in my heart. DH lost his dad this year...my grandfather has battled cancer and won...I can't find the words to express what this year feels like for me.
I am thankful that I got to spend at least one more Thanksgiving with my grandfather. For those that remember his story, a little update. Papa's surgery went well. He has been recovering for the last two or three weeks at home, and seems to be doing great. Of course, he is still extremely sore and in some pain, but he is here! I know how hard it must be for him, going through such an ordeal at his age, but it makes me so proud.
And finally, time to pour some sugar on Becky since I missed the post earlier! Becky, you are such a kind and beautiful person. Your presence on this board means so much to all of the girls here who've been blessed to "know" you! I know you have been through some hard times recently, but know that you have a huge group of supportive and loving women on your side. If you ever needed anything, I would do my best to provide for you as I know you would do the same.
Thanks again girls...on this Thanksgiving, I appreciate all of you to the very depth that I am capable, and I hope you all know that!
ETA: By the way, for those of you who know my TTC troubles, my cycle showed up on time with tons of nasty cramps and other symptoms. Looks like my lady parts got the TTC memo! Yay!!
