No cranberry overdosing or anyone in jail after a shopping brawl huh?
Just checking in.
I had a quiet day just me and the pups and then cooked a full turkey day dinner for me and drew. It was super yummy and we, of course, have tons of leftovers. We are making a few extra sides tonight and having some friends over to play Super Mario Wii.
Hope everyone is enjoying Black Friday!
Re: Is everyone still alive?
We just got back from Black Friday shopping. We didn't leave the house until 10am and went to Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's. We only bought a couple things and missed most of the better deals. Not that we really needed anything anyway!
We had a good time at my aunt and uncle's house yesterday. Food comas set in last night and we just lay on the couch and watched Elf.
I'm trying to motivate myself to get out the Christmas tree, but it involves cleaning the living room first and I don't feel like getting off the couch just yet.
Alive and well and avoiding Black Friday like the Black Plague.
Just thinking about coming your way and starting to plan the travel.
I really need our group to choose a date...I just found out that there are only 5 seats left that I can use miles for if we fly out Oct 1, 2010. That's an $800 savings!
Theoretically, I can try a different airline and price watch for cheaper flights, but it would be awesome if I could just use my miles and save money. Even if we get a super cheap flight, it will cost us at least $500 to fly. Then there's the hotel costs. I just checked the all the other weekends (except Halloween which isn't searchable yet) and there were only 3 tickets left! Aack!
It's pretty fun but I feel like a dork. I haven't really played video games other than the occassional Wii moment and its hard. I guess my hand-eye coordination has worn off over the years. D keeps making fun of me because I die so much lol.
I'm alive! Dinner was delicious! And I'm so glad it was, cause my hips were so sore after all day cooking, I could barely walk. At least it was worth it!
We also have tons of leftovers, but that just means no real cooking will have to happen for a couple of days, haha!
And I went to Target, Walmart and Kohls. Got most of the stuff we wanted, and a few more things, so it was good! AND I managed to stay within budget, yay!
I'm alive!
I just woke up.....again. We managed to roll outta bed at 2:30am and hit up Wal-Mart by 3....then Target....then we grabbed some breakfast (McD's) and DH opted out of Kmart. I went to Kmart by myself. Overall, it was a successful operation, but I was WIPED OUT. So I threw in the towel, went home and we took a 3 hour nap to catch up. We are all good now
I will be hitting up my momma's house later for some leftovers!!
Yep- I worked till 1:30. After I went out this morning and finding out that my car wouldn't start. DH moved it yesterday and didn't know the fog lights were on and killed my battery. He had to have AAA come out and get 'er cranked after he dropped me at work.
He picked me up and we bought paint for the back of the built bookshelf and our outside lights. Planning to get those up this weekend. Yay!
I'm here! We had a nice, calm Thanksgiving with the IL's and my sis and BIL yesterday, after doing a 5K run/walk in the morning (we walked, because we did it with a couple we're friends with, and the wife is pregnant).
We slept in this morning, then went for a great 16 mile bike ride and cleaned the apartment. We're just getting ready to start putting up our Christmas decorations.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends, ladies!
I'm alive! I do have a BF injury though, somehow I sliced my thumb pretty deep where it bends on the INSIDE of the knuckle. I didn't realize it until I got home from shopping and it was literally dirty.
Can't wait to find out what kind of disease I picked up...at least I got some good stuff! I hit BBW, kohls, joann, ac moore, H&M, and kmart. I stopped at target around 7 and it was PACKED, so I left. I wasn't waiting hours in line for like 3 things!
Turkey day was actually funny, stepMIL got a little tipsy on wine and she just giggled at everything - hilarious! My pumpkin pie & filling turned out great. We didn't go see fantastic mr fox, DH was tired. He worked from 11am-1am wednesday and today he is working 4am-midnight. I got him some rum for when he gets home lol! I refuse to nap though, if he has to be on his feet all day, I can at least stay up too.
I'm alive. Went to Walmart this morning about 8 am, just figured out the jeans I bought for DH are too short, so I'll be going BACK to Walmart shortly.
Had the Scentsy open house today, and that was a flop. Only a couple of people came, I was hoping for more. I have a TON of food left over, so that's what they're getting for supper.
Oh, and my kids are driving me up a wall. Right now the son has locked himself in my car and is honking at his sisters, who are screaming and running around the yard like banshees. Normally they are decent kids, I don't know what has gotten in to them today.
We're alive and well!
Thanksgiving yesterday was awesome!!! Dh and I made the works and it was soooo fun to host. And the food was delicious!!
Today was awesome as well. DH and I went to bed at 9:30 on T-day and got up at 1:30 naturally (bc we weren't that tired). So we went to Wal-mart and sat in line for tvs. Dh wanted the 32" one for the business and my BIL asked me to get the 42" for him. So we got those (DH was the last one to get the 32" -- so lucky). We managed to get everything we wanted there and at K-Mart and Belk. It was a pretty simple BF for us this year and lots of fun.
Glad to hear all you ladies are doing well (for the most part) too!
^^Kimmy hope your sinus infection clears up soon and Kristy sorry to hear about your thumb. Hope it's nothing too serious.
