Re: POLL: Black Friday
We got up at 3am, went to Kohl's, got there 10 min before they opened. Shopped there, then went to Old Navy, then went to Target (chaos!), and then I made a stop at Lowe's. We were back home and settled by 8am.
Spent about $500 but got some great deals, and our Christmas shopping is now done for each other! Next, some leftover family gifts and we're good to go.

a) i had to work at 8:30 this morning
b) i can't stand crowds and aggressive shoppers
c) i have no idea what to buy anyone yet, and crowded malls aren't the best place for browsing.
I just woke up, and it feels awesome. I don't feel like I missed out on any deals since there will be similar deals all the way through Christmas. I may venture out to Walmart later to pick up some Christmas lights, but that's about it.
Glad you were so productive, dobsy. Now go make me some waffles!

I had set my alarm for 3 this morning but had been up sick with what I think was food poisoning last night until 11. When the alarm went off, I still had a headache so went back to sleep. I woke up again at 5 on my own, kept having visions of Black Friday shopping and how much I enjoy it, and eventually went out to Target at 6 am. Target was crazy and seemed to be where everyone was. I spent $175 there, but got a ton of stuff.
Oh, and I totally bought a flatscreen TV on amazon.

I went to Target at 5:00 a.m. The only "family" gifts I'm doing this year are for my cousins (all under 14) and I was able to get each of them a gift for $10, which was perfect because we're on a super budget this year.
The gifts for our moms/grandparents/aunts & uncles will all be photos from the wedding (albums for moms, calendars for grandparents, framed prints for aunts & uncles) so those weren't Black Friday purchases. I'm doing homemade gifts for most of my friends, or doing online purchases.
The only thing left to do is shop for my little brothers and my DH -- might do that today, might do it later. I am planning on going to see *New Moon* again in a bit
We went to Wal-Mart right at 5 just to witness the craziness. We did buy some ornaments and some gifts for our White Elephant party.
We bought our big thing last night before 12 from radioshack.com. It was there BF deal on the Garmin 255W, and it was the only thing we really wanted this year. I found a free shipping code so it was just easier to order it than fight for it this morning.

We got to target about ten minutes after it opened and it was madness. So great. Got some good stuff. We went there, shoe carnival, old navy, local mall (sears, jc penney, disney, other random stores), local rich people mall (apple store, godiva, sephora, sony, victorias secret), borders, bed bath and beyond, walmart, and kohls.
I took a quick iphone video as I stumbled around target at 5 AM.
