We're going on a cruise!

DH and I booked a cruise for July! It'll be our vacation/anniversary trip. Since we live near New Orleans, we'll be boarding there. We will go to Progesso (Yucatan, Mexico) and Cozumel. It'll be for 5 days! I'm so excited and can't wait! I've never done a cruise before. Any tips from those that have?

    Have fun.  DH and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon.  He had been on a few before but I'd never been on them.  Which cruiseline are you going with.  We did Royal Caribbean and it was so much fun.  Be prepared to eat a lot of really yummy food is all the advise I can give you.  Paradise

    We're going on Carnival cruises because that's the only cruise line that departs from our area. We really didn't want to fly to a different place.

    I've actually been looking at cruises today, probably because I think the house is cold and I want to be somewhere warm! DH and I went on a cruise with Carnival for our HM and it was a lot of fun! My biggest suggestion would be to try to find someone who has been to the ports of call you are going to, and figure out which shore excursions are worth it and which are not. The shore excursions we went on turned out to be VERY different from what I anticipated. And yes, there will be lots of yummy food! Big Smile
