Vet recommendation?

My Aunt needs to check out a new veterinarian. Does anyone here live on the west side of Cincy (near Harrison) that could recommend their vet? TIA!

Re: Vet recommendation?

  • I live in Bridgetown and we take our pup to the Animal Hospital of Delhi Hills (it's in Delhi, about a 10 miin drive).  Dr. Carbaugh is fantastic and has done wonders for our puppy (she had parvo and numerous other diseases and has survived it all!).  I would highly recommend him.  I'd say it would probably be about a 20 minute drive from Harrison, so I don't know if that's too far for your aunt or not.  Good luck :)
  • Is she in Harrison or does she live near Harrison Ave?  My parents' vet is next to St. I's church in Montfort Heights but that's probably a little far if she lives in Harrison.

  • I also use the vet next to St Ignatious. It's called Monfort Heights Animal Clinic. I live off the harrison/rybolt road exit and its literally a 2 minute drive down 74. It's a father and son run vet and I definitely recommend it!

  • It's not in Harrison, but it's on the west side of Cincinnati.  VCA College Hill Animal Hospital.  I live near ANDERSON and I still take my animals there... b/c they are that good and I trust the docs that much.  Well worth the drive for a vet you can trust whole-heartedly.

     GL!

  • We drive to Harrison to see Dr Gaston at the Vet Wellness Center.  He is right off the first Harrison exit, same one as Miami Whitewater.    He is a normal practicing vet but he takes much more of a holistic approach.  For instance, my dogs have their blood draw every year and tested to see how much of the yearly vacines they still have in their blood.  Dogs typically carry enough of the vacines year to year that they do not need more.  I can't even tell you they last time mine need anything other than rabies.

  • Rottie, that's great that your vet does that!  I should ask my vet if they'll do the bloodwork.  If they say no at least they sit down and explain everything to me so I trust their opinion either way.

  • Thank you all so much for your recommendations!! :)
