Cincy tree excavating companies?

I need recommendations on companies that would remove a 15 ft pine tree and replant it elsewhere.

Has anyone done something like this before?  Anyone know the cost?

Re: Cincy tree excavating companies?

  • We had some tree work done by Arbor Design 513.851.3399. The did an excellent job for us at a great rate.

Our work was removal of a 40 ft locust as well as trimming some other trees, but we also discussed planting of new trees that were of size as well. They're pretty full-service.

I just received an email form someone at Evans...they said it would cost about $200 per hour, and based on the description of my tree he said it would cost roughly $800-$1,000.  Does that sound right?

  • Did they actually come out and look at the tree and the site? I would be leary of going 'by the hour', and would want more of a flat rate quote to get the job done. Also, does your quote include cleanup? good quality fill dirt for the hole created by the excavation? any guarantee on their labor if the tree falls over two weeks after they move it?

My quote was $695 to remove the 40-ft locust. Another $200 to trim 3 more locusts on the back of my property that were very difficult to get too (picture a cherry picker TOTALLY extended up and sideways). They removed all sawdust, cut the pieces of locust to firewood sized and stacked it for us. So, $895 total. He then quoted me @$400 to put in a 15-ft maple which would have a 1-yr guarantee.

I am going to agree with this. We had a bunch of tree work done over the summer and it is not cheap. To me that bid sounds low to have a tree removed and replanted. We had an enormous locust tree dropped and it was to say it was 900. This did not include the clean up.

I have never heard of removing a tree and replanting it. How big is the tree?
