Hey!
How did it go Thanksgiving morning? I looked for you at the Plaza but didn't see you. We got there at 6 and were amazed how many people were there before we were.
We wound up taking double the meals we were supposed to since the night before they were still saying they needed drivers. We had six stops, and two declined the meals. Did you have that happen to you? Our second stop, which was in Arbor Hill, had five meals to be delivered and when DH went to the door they said they didn't need them anymore. He went two doors down and asked if they wanted them so they took them. Did you see on the tickets that if you couldn't deliver or find someone to take the meals that you had to "destroy" them?
It was definitely a great experience and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

Hi!
We looked for you too. We got there about 7:30 ish or so. We waited in line for about 2 hours. When we got up to the tickets, we could only take delivery for 10, so they must have caught up with the drivers.
Everyone took their meals from us, it has always been a humbling experience to say the least. The one lonely old man said he had been watching for us out his window. So sad.
We are going to try and do food prep next year if possible. I know you have to sign up really early for that though.
Did you see the man walking around in the world's worst turkey costume?!?! We met some really nice women in line who we chatted with for the two hours so it made the time go by quickly.
We had one man waiting for us. It was sad because he's by himself and had to put his dog down the day before.
Depending on how early we want to leave for CT next year we may sign up for food prep too.
When we got up to get tickets they were saying only 10 meals per driver too, but DH hates to listen and just had to take a second set of tix.... You had to see us trying to carry out 20 meals! Thank goodness they had extra boxes and that a man with a cart came to our rescue!
That turkey was just plain creepy! What were they thinking? LOL
We almost took more sets too, but were afraid someone else might not get any.
We had an old man open his door, in his boxers and his heat was on like 97 degrees. We nearly fell over.
We also had a little old lady bark at us when we left one apartment complex because she didn't have her meal yet. We thought she was going to come get us with her cane! LOL
LOL!!!
