Cookie poll! What's your favorite? Do you only make them for christmas? I need ideas! MIL decided I'm in charge of christmas cookies from now on (I don't mind, hers are blech).?

Peanut blossoms are a must for me - pb cookies with a hershey kiss/rollo/pb cup/whatever on top

Re: me want cookie nom nom nom

  • I'm a classic Chocolat chip cookie lover. I also love the pilsbury Holiday cookies they put out ever holiday.

  • I always make peanut butter blossoms and cut out sugar cookies. This year I also already made Mint Chocolate Delights using the recipe on the back of the Nestle Tollhouse Dark Chocolate & Mint chips. Very good! I might also try to make those almond cookies that are dusted with powdered sugar. I think they have multiple names and I can't remember any of them at the moment!

  • We always make tons of cookies. My favorite ones are Cherry Tarts (mini muffin pan, fill each slot with dough to make a mini cup, fill with sliverd almonds/cherry juice/sugar mixture -- bake for 5 minutes and add a cut piece of cherry to it and finish baking 15 min).

    Others we make are

    Lady locks

    Caramel cups

    Chocolate chip oatmeal

    Sugar cut outs

    Biscottis

    Gingerbread

    Horseshoes (walnut cookies)

My all-time favorite are rainbow cookies.  ::drools.....::  What I wouldn't do for one (or twenty) of these right now...

My second favorite are soft chocolate chip cookies.  But, I love all cookies pretty much!

ETA: raspberry thumbprints are also high on my list!

  • My favorite cookie is from a place called Roxy's Deli in Thousand Oaks, CA.  They make the best cookies period, but the one I really like is a sugar cookie with the rainbow ball sprinkles.  Oh to die for.

My favorite holiday cookies are the peanut butter drops, Mexican bridal cookies (both previously mentioned), and I also love candy cane cookies.  Hard to make, but so worth it, they are cute, festive and yummy!

  • I make cookies for everyone every christmas!  I have for about the past 10+ years...Usually about 15-20 plates of cookies, which is a TON of cookies to make to fill up that many plates.

I have a Pizzell maker, so I make those very year.

I make my fudge every year, which people go nuts over.

I do the standard choco chips

    thumbprints

    Rice krispy treats

    Peanut butter

And then I always try a new cookie each year. Havent figured out my cookie game plan yet...Hopefully my other stove will be installed then I can have 2 ovens going at once!

  • I make but one ultra delicoius cookie called "Rachel's Ultimate" I make a bunch. It's basically a chocolate chip cookie that I have altered to make it ultra moist, ultra rich, and delicious. I would tell you how I do it, but then I would have to kill you. Not really. But I don't share. I will say that it involves adding peanut butter. I also make brownies with a crispy mint/chocolate shell. (Crushed Andes mints that melt on top of hot brownies then reharden)
