a few days late- Happy ThxGiving!

Good Morning Ladies!

How was everyone's thanksgiving! Hope everyone had a nice day, and hopefully you were off on Friday. ( I wasn't, I worked regular hours friday)-

How was the weekend? Our's was fine. Saturday mornng we got our Christmas tree- then Sat afternoon H came down with some nasty stomach virus- i think the same thing I had on Monday. So he was done for the rest of the day. I just watched the Florida vs Florida State game- which was boring bc FSU forgot to show up. =)  ...

Yesterday we went to my hometown to look at some houses ( we are planning on moving back in the next few months). That ordeal is for another post.

Re: a few days late- Happy ThxGiving!

  • Thanksgiving was good, interesting as always. My one aunt got completely blasted and spent her evening stroking my cousin's face, asking her if she was ok (she recently had a seizure as a result of a meds mix-up), telling her she loved her and then telling her not to laugh, she was being serious. LOL. My mom and I got up at 4:30am and were shopping by 5 on Friday, and it was a ton of fun. We got some good stuff and didn't get trampled. Saturday was Kevin's family's Thanksgiving and that was nice, the shelter worked out pretty well. And yesterday I was back to work.?

  • wow Meag, I can't imagine being in the stores that early. Good for you tho! we've started our shopping, but barely.

I had Wed. off and DH had a half day, so I went with him to his work where I donated blood (and they bruised me really bad).

We headed to MILs and had dinner out at a place called "Double O grill!" It was so yummy!!! (I had seared ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes)

Thursday we watched the parade on TV and then headed out for late family lunch with MIL, her parents and her sister.

Friday we played scrabble and helped MIL do some errands around her house, and we did her groceries.

Saturday was more errands and then back up here for the college hockey game (which was awesome back and forth, but we lost).

Sunday we just relaxed around the house.

Overall it was a pretty good weekend.

  • Yes, hope you all had great Thanksgivings! It's fun to catch up a little bit about what we did over the holiday.

We say DH's family on Thurs and mine on Friday. Then, we also did a lot of yardwork and we're working on the inside of our house again now that it's getting colder. Currently - our entire living/dining room floor is torn up and most of our furniture has moved into our kitchen. Eeck!! It should get better soon.

I'm hoping to get up Christmas lights and our tree soon now that it's December!!! Do you all have your decorations up yet?

  • We have all of our decorations up! YAY!

  • we have nothing up and really no decorations to speak of. I have our stockings and a handful of things in storage, but I dont think we will get them out. Our place is just so cluttered and there is really no place to put anything decorative at the moment.
