Buffalo ladies need some help

DH and I are going to the Shea performing center this Friday to see Chelsea Handler. I can't wait, I love her! I have been waiting for her to come close to Syracuse. Is the center easy to find? Are there any good restaurants around that area? The show is at 8pm its takes 2.5 hrs to get there. Is that area congested 5-6pm? Thanks ladies!

Re: Buffalo ladies need some help

  • Try Hemmingways or Laughlins. ?They are both really close to the theater...
  • I forgot to answer the rest- yes, it's easy to find. ?And most of the traffic should be going the opposite way around the time you'll get in. ?Even at it's worst, Buffalo traffic is not bad compared to other areas. ?
  • You should be fine, it's easy to find, and I second Laughlins.  You can walk to the theatre from there.
  • I"m so jealous! I love Chelsea Handler.

When DH and I do something "downtown" we always go to Chef's first. It's yummy!

  • Thanks ladies! Melanie I will let you know how it is. Im so excited.
  • Umm.. I THINK Hemingways is closed..something else has opened in its place..  But Cabaret is right across the street, and the whole chippewa area is not far.

Sheas is not hard to find.. Follow signs for the theatre district.. The theatre is between pearl st and main st and there is lots of parking within walking distance..

You will hit some traffic on the thruway and going into the city at 5-6 pm..

  • I love Laughlins too... they have everything from sandwiches (my fav is the grouper sandwich) to steaks, and a really good beer selection. It's on the corner of Franklin and Tupper, really close the the theater.

  • Shea's is right in the heart of the city but like the other girls already said by that time of night it starts to thin out a little down there. There are a TON of great restaurants in downtown B-Lo. Both of these websites might be helpful for you. They have a good number of the restaurants listed. http://buffalogoesout.com/default.asp and also http://buffalocitylife.com/
