of being unemployed. Yesterday was a strange day at work...all of us saying goodbye to each other, etc.
I am going to make myself a to do list of things I want to accomplish each day so I don't just end up watching day time tv, lol.
So, how is everyone this December 1st?
Re: Day 1
I can't imagine the awkwardness of having to say goodbye. Hopefully this will give you an opportunity to do lots of things you don't have time for.
I've been so busy at work these past two weeks. Thanksgiving was good but short since I only had Thursday off. I'm almost done christmas shopping though so thats good. I'm still anxious for this year to be over though its been a rough year all around.
I'm doing okay. My back is slowly improving and at this point it only pinches if I try to move completely normally without caution, so that's huge improvement, but I am sore/stiff almost all over. I think that might be from taking so much downtime - my muscles being sore from not doing anything for so long? So it's tough to know how much is something the chiro can help with, how much is normal and will go away, and what might be additional injury/areas of concern.
Greg rearranged our living room last night so we could get our Christmas tree up - it's bare but it's up! And Xena approves of the new furniture arrangement.. she can lay on the couch in between us and get pets from both Mommy and Daddy while watching TV!! LOL
Hi ladies! Jen, hopefully the list will help you a lot.
Our apartment is pure chaos! We unloaded all of the baby gifts yesterday and bought some totes but o my there is stuff everywhere and I wish i was kidding but we have no where for them to go at the moment. Were hopefully looking at some houses that we narrowed down this week. Its definately not recommended to be 7 months pregnant and to start looking for a house! I have to figure out how to clean some of this stuff up today even though i have no space. Im crossing my fingers. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!
Morning! I bet that was very strange Jen. I hope you're able to get lots accomplished around the house! And hopefully the unemployment won't last very long.
I'm good this morning. A little annoyed at the amount of rules and restrictions Declan's day care has. Like I have to get a note from his pediatrician since his formula is made with rice cereal in it. They can't feed them anything from a bottle besides forumla (which his is pre-made with the cereal) or breastmilk. I know they have reasons for what they do but it sure is a pain!
Jen: I hope you get lots done today. I'm sure yesterday was hard but there is something great waiting for you out there!
I'm doing ok. Had a root canal yesterday. I was freaking out (well, the THOUGHT of it was about a million times worse than the actual procedure). I'm ok today though. Back at work, no swelling.
Our Christmas trees are up. We did two big trees this year - one in the living room and one in the den.
Morning everyone.
Jen I bet that was a very odd feeling yesterday. To-do lists are good but some down time and day time tv isn't always a bad thing either
)
We have our decorations up and so far (knock on wood) David is leaving the ornaments alone. He has this issue of thinking any round object is one of his play balls, so I was afraid we'd have no ornaments this year.
Jen I think being productive is a really good idea. I am queen of the to do lists and getting things accomplised makes me feel so much better. I sometimes put stupid easy things on there just so I can check them off! I hope you get lots done!
I am ok. I have been out 5 and a half days so it's hard getting back in the swing of things, plus coming back to chaos is very unpleasant. But I am good other than that.
Jen, GL with the list, but don't beat yourself up if you want to sit down and watch some TV. Give yourself a break - going through a lay off is traumatic and you need to give yourself time to get through it. Even though I wasn't 100% laid off (I ended up being moved into a terrible dept), going through the lay off-procedure and waiting to find out was one of the worst things I've ever been through.
I'm good today. Yesterday was the day from hell. I had 5 meetings w/a total of 28 people...ranging from 9AM to 4PM. Then, some more work-drama followed and I was here till 6.45 and ended up at happy hour. It was pretty funny though when I popped over to the 9-5 board and found some whiney little brat over there complaining about how hard the SOX Compliance people make her life (that's what I do). It's like "sure honey...here's my day, and now let's talk about how hard you make mine." Anyway. I just need to get through the end of this year and hopefully dumb shiiit won't bother me anymore.

Ditto this!! I like your idea of catching up on some daytime TV, at least for a day or two. Hopefully you won't have a TON of time to do this, and with the holidays coming up, I think a few low-key "I'm gonna be lazy and not get outta my PJs until noon" days are in order while you can take them.
Thanks girls. I already got most of my day's to-do's accomplished today...I am going to go work out now.
