Good Morning Ladies!
My mom hosted a shower last weekend (the 22nd) for Ben and I with all my family and some friends, this coming weekend is my FSIL's bridal shower with the same people. Would it be completely tacky if I hand delivered the Thank You cards to those who will be attending that shower? I'm hoping to have them done this week, and in the mail Friday/Saturday but would feel better if people had them when they saw me next....
Re: Is this tacky?
I think Mail would be better.
That's good point.... I guess I'm just worried that someone will make a comment about not getting their TY card yet... granted I have a newborn and all, but I still feel guilty for not being on top of it.
I would pop them in the mail. I wouldn't worry about people thinking about not having recieved your thank you card.
I was at a wedding in May and July and still have not recieved a thank you card.
I know some people would think it tacky, but I'd bring them in the diaper bag and subtly hand it to them as you leave. This way, the shower was totally about FSIL, with no mention about yours until it's time to leave. People are definitely going to say things like "great shower last week," or "we had so much fun with you last week," it's a great lead-in to "oh speaking of which, here's your TY card, I was going to take them to the post office to mail them but seeing that you're here..."
I dunno. I don't find it tacky if you do, but I also could see why it was suggested to toss them in the mail. Trust me, no one is going to complain - it's only been a week! You're fast, sista!
