We were seperated at birth...I repsonded to the cookie post below but figured you might not check back to it. I was going to post Pizzells too but figured noone would know what they are. I have a Pizzell maker too. Noone I ever say anything about them too knows what they are much less what an actually Pizzell maker is lol.
You are lucky enough to know people who actually know what they are....
Re: Agent**
hahahah WHAAAAAAAAA!!! So Nuts! Nobody ever knows what a pizzell is! But everyone I make them for loves them!
I still havent gotten brave enough to try making canolies though. Have you?
Grew up around a lot of Italians and we had them all the time! I'm not a fan of anise, so they aren't my favs, but we used to make them every year... Maybe it's a 'city' thing? hm...
No canolis here... would rather get from a bakery, although... I saw a show where the one bride made them for her guests in her fav flavors! Yum!
Lore, I've left the anise out before and subbed, almond or vanilla in its place
just as yummy
I am thinking with all this talk, that canolies are on my list to tackle this year. They cant be THAT hard (**famous last words**)
