Well that was a crazy experience. I went to my boss's supervisor to resign and explained to him several reasons why I was leaving, and I also let him know that things were run so badly that lots of other people were leaving right behind me. I didn't HAVE to let him know all these things, but I felt he deserved to know how one of his departments was being run. He genuinely seemed to care about what I was saying, took notes, and promised he would follow up on every complaint. These were quite serious, involving sexual harassment, abuse, and the manipulation of sales leads, which impacts your paycheck. I should have known it was a waste of my time, tons of people had complained before me and nothing happened. I told him the reason I didn't speak up while I was working there was because I never saw results when someone had a problem, and I feared for my job. Well this is what happened: he shared all the information I gave him with my direct boss, who forced me out of the building ASAP, meaning I didn't even get to work the rest of my hours and will now be losing a paycheck. After I left, my coworkers said he was ranting about how evil I was, and if I ever showed my face there he would call the cops. My coworkers know that he is psychotic and I am definitely not the devil, but I just can't believe that nothing will be done about all the complaints. I also know another one of my coworkers will be quitting today, so that makes me happier. I just hope my psycho boss doesn't try and call my new job or something, there is no telling what that crazy man can do. Supposedly he is friends with someone at my new job, so I am not happy about the new drama I could be facing. Sorry so long, thanks for letting me share!

Re: F/U to quitting my job
Sorry to hear that you had to deal with the drama of your former job. However don't think about the new drama until it happens and it might not ever happen. I'll keep my fingers crossed that his friend is a bit more grown up then your former boss and keeps your new job to him/ herself.
Did you give your new work info to your former boss?
Best of luck with your new job! Keep us updated.
Oh my goodness! I hope someone sues his ass! I'm so glad you got out of there and have a new job waiting for you, although I'm sorry you're missing out on a paycheck. Thank God you are out of that terrible environment.
I hope this all works out for you, hun! Sorry you had to go through such an ordeal.

I completely agree with this! If your old boss contacts the new company you are working for, I would just say something along the lines of that you aren't at liberty to talk about the internal happenings that went on at your previous place of employment. That's the safest way to handle it. Just act like you are being professional and careful. You probably did sign some type of employment agreement/nondisclosure clause along the way so it's probably true that you can't talk about it!
On another note, I have been in a similar situation and I feel for you. My previous employer bad mouthed me and trashed me to my coworkers, the parents of the children in my classroom (I was teaching), the children in my class, and anybody else that would listen. It was terrible and ultimately, defamation of character. Stuff like that is so so hurtful and takes a while to get over. The good thing is that you have a new job to look forward to! I'm glad you got out of that poisonous environment!
