How was your Thanksgiving?

Re: How was your Thanksgiving?
I had a good thanksgiving. While DH was working I cleaned the house and got some organizing done. DH got off of work around 2 so we were able to make it to my uncle and aunt?s on time for Thanksgiving dinner. Joining us were my family, my other uncle and aunt and their family, and the parents of my hosting aunt. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone again. My uncle brought a box of jelly beans that were half normal flavors and half gross flavors (black pepper, vomit, baby wipes, etc) so we took turns trying those. DH and I weren?t sure if there were actually any nasty ones until we both got one. (I got vomit.)
Friday I did some shopping with my sister and mom and DH had to work until 2:30. My sister was in town from college so the 4 of us siblings did lunch and went to my house and played Wii. Then my parents and DH joined us for the Husker game. After that, DH and I put up our Christmas tree which was a lot of fun!
Saturday DH had to work again so I ran some errands and finished up our Christmas letters. That night we met up with his high school friends that were in town to see an Irish band that one of the friends knows. It was a lot of fun seeing them and it was nice to get out.
Sunday after church we went to a housewarming party for the parents of one of DH?s friends so it was nice catching up with them. One of my college friends stopped by to see our new house and we caught up with her.
It was a good productive weekend and it was nice to catch up with a lot of people.

Thanksgiving was great. We hosted, but only had 4 people total, so I got to pull out the china and crystal but not cook for an army! Everything turned out great, even my first attempt at making rolls from scratch!
The rest of the weekend was good and relaxing! We went to the mall on Friday to get some breakfast (we live next door) and it was very empty. It was quite strange! We then relaxed the rest of the day. On Saturday we had a bunch of people over to watch the Gator game. And then SUnday we did some fall cleaning because it was such a beautiful day! Ahh! For once I'm kinda ready for the week!
Ours was great, but so busy!
Crazy busy!!!!!
Thursday we went to the IL's for Thanksgiving. It was my first Thanksgiving every away from home, and it was different, but I survived.
Friday, we went to WalMart to look for somethings my Mom wanted, but they were gone of course. Same with online. Then we went to the mall
It was crazy, but I got a Coach bag that I can't have until Christmas hehe. When we got home, we got some stuff for baking and went to my parents' for a second Thanksgiving and played a very intense five hour game of Monopoly that I ended up winning
Saturday we laid around and did nothing. We were going to put lights up, but the outlet is broke, so we need to have someone take a look at it. I told DH I don't want him trying to since he knows nothing about it LOL.
I laid around all day yesterday too. I did sweep, vacuum and make dinner, but I felt so lazy. It was great

Overall, it was a nice weekend.
We went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving and my IL's joined us. Everyone was there - even both my brothers' girlfriends. This is the day we told our families that we are expecting! It was so cool - my dad got all misty-eyed and couldn't even talk. Lol.
Friday I went shopping with my mom, but not at the crack of dawn. We got out about 9 am and I still got the deals I was out to get.
Saturday and Sunday were very lazy for me. I cooked, cleaned and watched a lot of movies, but didn't even leave the house. But it was good, as I've been pretty tired lately. DH is working hard on getting our basement finished before the baby comes, so he was holed up down there all weekend. I only really saw him when I yelled down to him that his meals were ready
Our Thanksgiving was good. We went to my mom's for lunch, DH's mom's side for the afternoon, then DH's dad's side for dinner.
On Friday, I refused to go shopping. Instead, I spent the day cleaning the house and decorating for Christmas. In the afternoon DH and I started fixing the food for our get-together. That night we had some friends over for dinner and game night.
On Saturday my mom and I went do some shopping for Christmas gifts, decorations, and things for my sister's baby shower. When my mom headed home, DH met me at Lowe's so we could get some outdoor Christmas decor.
On Sunday we went to church, went get more things from Lowe's, finished our outside decorations, I worked on things for school this week and things for my sister's shower while DH went help a friend move things into a new house. That night we went out to dinner and a movie to celebrate 6 months. We went see "The Blind Side."... awesome movie...highly recommended.
Pretty good. We saw an old friend on BBN (Biggest Bar Night), which was fun. We had our family stuff around 12:30 on T-day. Then, DH and I went home to start on our own personal little Thanksgiving. The turkey ended up taking like five hours to cook (because I was sharing the oven with a lot of side dishes at the same time...), but we had our big dinner and some gingerbread and just sat around with each other and watched some football. It was awesome.
We ventured out late Friday afternoon and aside from the mall, nothing was busy at all. We ended up getting my parents' gifts finished. The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing. We saw another old friend on Saturday night and watched some movies at his house. My parents had us over on Sunday for Thanksgiving with them, since we didn't see them on Thursday. I'm definitely all turkeyed-out.
