This is a little different, but I came here initially to post something that began with that line. LOL I figured others could probably use the same outlet, so...

You know what I hate? People you never talk to asking "How've you been lately?"
I know you're being polite. We never talk, we never see one another, etc. Everyone's automatic response is "Good.. and you?"
Why? Because it's polite? Someone in that position saying that to you doesn't really care if you're good, bad, or on death's door. Likewise, you really don't care if they're good, bad, or on death's door in response. LOL
Sure... some people might actually care. But you have a better chance of winning the lottery than a "long-lost" friend/relative striking up an ACTUAL conversation with you if begun with "How've you been lately?"
