Hosting my First Christmas ...eek!
Hey Ladies, so I am getting quite nervous. I am hosting my first Christmas in my first house! Plus on top of that my husband-to-be and I's families are going to be meeting for the first time. His mom and brother fly down Christmas Eve morning and then fly back home on the 28th. I am having my family over Christmas Day. I am little nervous just about what might be expected of me.
Basically I am seeking out any tips or advice you' all might have for me.
*** Oh and were trying not to spend too much money since we have the wedding and honeymoon coming up ***

Try to prepare what you can the days before, you can have the tables up and set a few days ahead, some dishes can be cooked ahead too and then reheated that day...?
Good luck!
Oooh fun.
I always try to make sure I know ahead of time what everyone likes to drink so to have that on hand.
I agree with the PP... It's easy to get a lot done ahead of time... that way all you have to do the day off is the turkey and potatoes.
What I usually do is spiced carrots or squash, a brussles sprout salad or roasted brussles sprouts, dressing, mashed potatoes turkey and gravey. The plum pudding or Mince Meat tarts for desert. And some homemade frozen appies for starters. I usually only have to worry about doing the turkey and potatoes the day of and heating everything else up. It's make the day much more realxing.
