Lore almost forgot it's Tuesday!! Her DH had to work, that messed up with her notion of time of the week.
Anyways, Lore wishes you all a very good day! Anniversary month is over, but she thinks she can still pull off one more TPT related to it.

What was {insert your name here}'s favorite thing about the first anniversary? Lauren's favorite thing about the first anniversary was getting to spend the weekend with DH. Lauren and her DH haven't had that very often lately, so it was a nice treat. Plus, Lauren was happy they had good autumn weather for going to lunch and being outdoors at vineyards, it just made her day even better. Also, Lauren really loved where they went for their fancy lunch, especially since they were the only ones there--it made it even more special and like a lunch just for them.
Did {name} get a gift? What was it? And what did {name} give DH? Lauren and her DH did not do any gifts--their gift was going out to a fancy lunch at a B&B and then wine tasting. Lauren's DH did buy a bottle of wine at each vineyard they went to though.
Does {name} regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Lauren didn't regret freezing the cake. She couldn't believe that it actually still tasted really good after a year!
What was Lore's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Lore and her DH didn't do much, they just went to get dinner and went back home. But her favorite part was reflecting/talking about the last year while spooning in bed.

Lore and her DH just got cards for each other. But considering Lore's DH is a card hater, that was quite the gift!
Does Lore regret freezing/not freezing the cake?
She didn't and she doesn't regret it. It would most likely be in San Diego (she can't imagine driving 8 hours with a cake in the car), and she will get a new one next time she's in SD
What was {insert your name here}'s favorite thing about the first anniversary?Hm... Lorelai liked that they were all together as a family...to The Melting Pot! FUN FUN! Lorelai also liked that She and DH went to the hotel where their reception was-sans kids-for a toast and a drink!
Did {name} get a gift? What was it? And what did {name} give DH? Lorelai got what's in her siggy pic (her beautiful Moravian Star!-Lorelai thinks it's the Bethlehem Star, too! how fitting!). Lorelai got DH a card (he didn't get her one and she loves cards-boo!), but also got him dog tags (for when he hunts, rides the cycle, goes biking--ALONE-with updated info on it, and also the drink/toast above...
Does {name} regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Nope! Didn't have our freezer at that time and would not have had the room. Lorelai ordered a cake from the same bakery for breakfast! (big hit w the skids and w DH!) Lorelai might do this as a yearly tradition!
What was Kirstin's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Kirstin's favorite part of their anniversary was just getting to relax and have a day that was all about us. No grocery shopping, no cleaning, just having fun together. Oh and going to Ruth's Chris for dinner! Yummmmmmm

Kirstin and her DH decided to get a joint gift. They both really want a cool clock for over the fireplace, and the 1st years modern gift is a clock. They went clock shopping on their anny but couldnt find/agree on the perfect one. So their clock search is still on.

She doesnt regret freezing it. Its tradition. They let it defrost in the fridge the night before, and each had one bite, but it was to dry for either of them to eat more then that. LOL
What was Sierra's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Sierra's favorite thing was getting to stay at the Opryland Hotel. Sierra thinks it was very "swanky".

Sierra did get a gift. She got a beautiful Bible and written inside was "To: Sierra B, From: L B, On our First Anniversary"
Sierra really wasn't exspecting anything from DH considering what the hotel cost, so she just made him an origami car. She knows that paled in comparisson to her Bible, but her DH keeps telling her he loves it.
Does Sierra regret freezing/not freezing the cake?
Sierra does not regret freezing the cake top, it wasn't as good as the day of, but it was eatable.
What was Kirsten's favorite thing about the first anniversary? Yummy dinner at the Melting Pot. !
Did Kirsten get a gift? What was it? And what did {Rick} give DH? Kirsten and Rick did not exchange gifts! All our $$$ is going towards savings for a house!
Does Kirsten regret freezing/not freezing the cake? No regrets, it was pretty good!
What was Jenny's favorite thing about the first anniversary? Jenny's favorite thing about the anniversary was having a wonderful 4 day weekend to celebrate it! Jenny is thankful that she and N got married on Thanksgiving weekend!
Did Jenny get a gift? What was it? Jenny and N were only supposed to exchange cards, but N had a ring made for Jenny's right ring finger. It's a white gold band with the etching that is on Jenny's engagement and wedding bands on it. It's beautiful, and Jenny loves it!
And what did Jenny give DH? Jenny gave N a card, and is trying to give him an anniversary baby! Jenny is crossing her fingers that this cycle works out, because that would be N's favorite gift ever.
Does Jenny regret freezing the cake? Jenny doesn't regret freezing the cake - it was still really tasty! Jenny likes Lori's idea of buying one each year to celebrate, and thinks she will do that in the future. Jenny thinks that carrot cake is a nutritious breakfast!
What was {insert your name here}'s favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Katie's favorite thing was spending time with her DH and baby. Katie's still dumbfounded at how much her life has changed in just one ear.

Katie and R did not exchange gifts this year. Katie and R agreed that with Christmas coming up and Katie having just gone back to work, it wasn't the time for gifts.

Katie doesnt regret freezing the cake, but she does regret letting DH handle the defrosting. Katie's DH forgot to take the cake out of the freezer on Sat, and then decided to defrost the cake in the microwave. Buttercream and microwaves do not go well together. Katie had a bite of cake-soup and thought it was nasty. (Katie's top tier was originally chocolate cake, peanut butter filling and chocolate buttercream covered in chocolate fondant. This does not mix well when melted.)
What was Karrey's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
That we made it alive and in one piece.
Did Karrey get a gift? Yes What was it? Flowers, a special vase, and a sweet card. And what did Karrey give DH? Dinner
Does Karrey regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Nope, it was pretty tastey. We each only had a small piece and that was plenty but it wasn't bad at all thanks to some rad packing done.
Oooh, Karrey forgot to do third person!! Slacker!!
Jen's favorite thing about the 1st anniversary was spending quality time with her husband and celebrating their new pregnancy.
Jen got diamond earrings from her husband, and she gave him a onesie and a used pee stick.
Jen did not freese cake because her bakery gives the couples a fresh small cake on their anniversary, The bakery uses such a delicate icing that freezing is not recommended. Jen thinks their anniversary cake was uber yummy!

Sheri's favorite thing about the first anniversary was spending the whole weekend with her DH. They actually had an anniversary weekend, the 7th was their 11 year and the 8th was their first wedding ann'y.

Sheri got flowers, chocolates and a card from her DH. She was also taken to dinner. Sheri just gave her DH a card because he had already bought himself 2 video games and Sheri thought that was enough of a gift for her DH!

Sheri did not have any cake to eat, they did not get to save the top tier to their cake
What was Kim's favorite thing about the first anniversary? Hmmm, Kim is not sure. Kim thinks it was great to make it through since they say the first year is the hardest. Kim did enjoy getting away with her hubby for a night. Kim is just looking forward to many more years to come with her DH.
Did Kim get a gift? What was it? And what did Kim give DH? Kim and her DH did not do gifts. Instead they put money together to get away for a night.
Does Kim regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Kim didn't freeze but she doesn't regret it. The place Kim and DH went away too had lots of scrumptous desserts.
What was Cassie's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Getting out of the city with J.
Did Cassie get a gift? Yes What was it? A book with beautiful illustrations of birds. And what did Cassie give DH? A print of an antique map of Boston, with the streets colored in red so it looks like a heart.
Does Cassie regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Cassie and J did not having a wedding cake, they had a wedding pie, which does not freeze well. So she does not regret it. She had plenty of pie on Thanksgiving.
Dana can't believe that our anniversary month is over already! She thinks this year has gone by so fast!
What was {insert your name here}'s favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Dana's favorite thing was going on an actual real vacation (no cell phones, computer, etc.) with M. They've never done that before!

Dana got the cruise (obviously), a VERY sweet poem (did Dana share this poem with you all?? She doesn't remember) and tickets to see the Mary Poppins musical which was AMAZING! Dana didn't get M anything because they had agreed to not give gifts, because the cruise was their big present for each other. M broke the rules! But Dana didn't mind too much

But Dana did order a small replica of their cake that they got to eat instead, and it probably tasted better than the defrosted one would have! 
Dana didn't freeze her cake because the stupid bakery didn't have the right stuff for her to save the topper
What was {insert your name here}'s favorite thing about the first anniversary? Hudy's favorite thing about her anniversary was spending the day in Asheville (where her and her DH honeymooned). She got to relax with her H and just have fun.
Did {name} get a gift? What was it? And what did {name} give DH? Hudy's got a pearl ring. She loves it sooo much. She got DH a 1912 pocketwatch and some customized notebooks/address books for him to use for their business. He was shocked and loved them.
Does {name} regret freezing/not freezing the cake? Hudy's froze her cake and was so happy she did. It was delicious and her H ended up eating 90% of it lol.

What was Breanne's favorite thing about the first anniversary?
Moving into our first house on our anniversary weekend. Breanne and her DH also ate leftovers on our formal china the night of our anniversary.
Did Breanne get a gift? What was it? And what did Breanne give DH?
Breanne and DH had an agreement to give each other the new tv. Breanne got DH a card. Breanne's DH broke the rules...Breanne got gift cards to Kohl's and Papyrus (a stationery store) and a heart shaped necklace with emeralds in it. But Breanne and DH have agreed to buy something for both of them or the house with the Kohl's card. She's not mad about him breaking the rules, she just felt bad b/c she followed the rules and all DH had to open was a card.
Does Breanne regret freezing/not freezing the cake?
Breanne doesn't regret not freezing- her cake would have had to travel 8 hours as well. And they ate cake for 2 days after the wedding b/c the hotel sent all the leftovers home with Breanne's parents. So she ate plenty of cake.
Angela's favorite part of their anniversary was spending time together, and getting away for the weekend.
Angie got a private moonlit carriage ride in Savannah where they went for their anniversary. Angie bought DH tickets to see Megadeth. And of course, they exchanged cards (which was important to Angie b/c she was bummed that DH didn't get her a card for her birthday this year).
Angie did freeze their cake, and defrosted while they were gone (48-hrs in the fridge, and a couple hours at room temp) and it was delish - just as good as the day they got married. :-)
Wendi's favorite thing about the 1st anniversary was spending a lazy day with DH. Wendi really thinks DH slacked off and didn't put much effort into the anniversary, and he burned the steaks, so Wendi was a little pissy.
Wendi got a pair of earrings with November's birthstone (for the anniversary month, Wendi's birthday is in June), and a John Deere cookbook. Wendi bought DH a John Deere pocket watch from Montana Silversmiths and a John Deere calendar (for clocks and paper).
Wendi does NOT regret freezing the cake. It was amazingly good, even after 2 moves. Wendi is glad to get that space back in her freezer, though.
