Huskers barely beat Colorado 28-20. We were back to our inconsistent offense and the defense was even a little shaky so I?m nervous for the Big 12 Championship. We play Texas in Texas so they definitely have the advantage there. Some people think we can pull off the upset and beat them but I?m not sure. It?s been awhile since we?ve had a good performance from the offense and defense in the same game but it could happen.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
It was a good football weekend. Florida beat Flrorida State, although they didn't play up to the level that they can. It was sad to see Tim Tebow, Brandon Spikes and the other seniors play their last home game. I can't wait for the SEC championship next week! That should be a great game!
Arizona beat Arizona state as well. It was a very frustrating game, but aren't almost all rivalries that way?
Bama won! But it was a TOUGH game. Auburn led most of the game until we had a great drive at the end for the win. There is one thing I always say that proved true again: it doesn't matter what either team is ranked going into the game, it will be a fight to death every time. This time was no exception--Auburn played really great football on Saturady, and if it weren't for some time management issues at the end, they may well have won the game.
Next week we take on Florida at the SEC championship. It will be another battle to the death I'm sure. Florida is a good team, but we are a better team than we were last year, so we will just have to see what happens.
Here's hoping Nebraska beats Texas!
It was a heart breaking but also spirit lifting day on Friday. My Auburn Tigers played their hearts out and gave 'Bama a run for their money. I really wish we could've pulled off the win, but I'm damn proud of those boys!!!!! Now it's just time to get ready for our bowl game, whatever that may be and start looking forward to next season. That'll be season #2 for Chizik and I think we have the talent to do pretty well next year.
Also, I'm ready to root for my other homestate team (even though they're my biggest rival!) next weekend in the SEC championship!
Buckeyes are all done until we find out their opponent for the Rose Bowl (we'll find out later this week).
Miami lost to Buffalo on Sunday.
Big rival game for us - the Bills are my brother's team...
I'm still leading both of my pools, too.
However, OSU ended the season at 9-3 so I'm happy about that and it looks like we're headed to the Cotton Bowl!
