F/U to blow-up decorations
I noticed this morning when I took Xena outside that a neighbor on the other end of the block has one in their front yard (their lights are ALWAYS on, so at least it's ALWAYS blown up). It is probably one of the only times I've thought it doesn't look horrible - it's just a single strand of multi-colored lights across the front of the house and around the tree in their front yard. The blow-up is Santa something or other and is in the middle of their front yard.
Kudos to you, unknown neighbor, for taking something I truly dislike and making me go "Huh,.. not so bad!"
Re: F/U to blow-up decorations
Haha, they got a "not so bad" from you.
Someone in our subdivision has all of their lights, blow ups and other figurines timed to x-mas music. (remember that Miller Lite commercial from a few years back, that's what it is like). I hate it. MH thinks its "not so bad". lol
And it's probably a tiny little balcony. LOL That's just comical. Please do take a picture!
I need to dig out the picture I took of these two houses from last year. They are covered in lights...I don't think they had any blow ups though. People drive up, park along the street and walk over to gawk, take pics and visit w/the owners. It's amazing. We call it "The Monstrosity." I can't wait to go see it again this year.
There's another house in my mom's neighborhood that puts up blow-ups on the balcony and all over the yard - 4-5 all together. They did it for Halloween this year too. Terrible. And they parked a car on the street and put cobwebs all over it.

We have 2 houses like that. They are neighbors and have everything including music playing and a donation box next to their mailbox. We drive by every year. I can never get a good picture of it though because there are so many lights I guess.
