Ok, call me a hypocrite, but seriously...
We had the kids and their cousins get some pics together as well as 'professional' pics. I downloaded all of the pics and scanned 'others'. I then sent them to my SIL's and the one niece, asking to NOT post them on FB if any have the step-kids in them. The SIL's say-not a prob-they don't know how to do that, anyway. The niece says she has it on super security, but downloads them, anyway... AND takes the pro pic and uses it as her FB profile pic (WITH the SKIDS in the pic). Nice. Now, if she chats with another niece, the SKIDS BM will see the pic (she hasn't gotten one yet, but we plan to do so for Christmas)-probably copy it-cause you can... And then, what's the point.
Ugh-I'm a wee bit frustrated about this. I also think she could get in trouble for using that pic for her profile since it's 'not ours'... type of deal. She's 20, but I will no longer send her pics if I don't want them posted. Thing is, I didn't send her the scanned one-unless she did it on her own or SIL sent it to her.
Thanks for hearing my vent... (yesterday's frustration was another topic, but...)
AND... my good thing is... I may have a new Dog-Niece!!! Or shortly!!! ok, here's her pic... :

Re: ::vent::
Ugh! That is frustrating! You would think she would know a little better (being 20 and all!), can you talk to her and let her know the situation or talk to her parents and have them make her take it down?
Oh, and CUTE dog neice!
That is really annoying!
Yay for a puppy!!!
That's so frustrating!! I don't know why people don't understand the personal ownership of a picture. Just because you showed her the picture doesn't mean she should show it to everyone else, esp when you asked her not to! It's your picture to do with what you want.
If I were you I would FB chat or message her (inbox so it's private) and ask her to remove it. Tell her I asked you not to post it and even if your profile is private, your friends can still see it.
