Anyone have any good deep fryer cleaning tips?
I let my deep fryer sit for too long and its super nasty.. even the outside has gunk that I can't get off with a magic eraser and dishsoap and kitchen cleaner.. and the lid is GROSS..
I just threw the pot and the basket in the dishwasher on heavy wash after soaking it for about 20 minutes.. now the lid is soaking..
Has anyone tried cherry juice on this sort of thing? I know it sounds crazy, but we recently started cleaning the grills at work with cherry juice and soda water and it works REALLY well.. So I"m thinking of doing that with my deep fryer if nothing else will work..
Any other ideas?
