    I stopped exchanging gifts with friends when H and I got serious and there was so much family to buy for. We throw a dinner party for our friends every Christmas and that is their present.

    My group of girlfriends do not exchange gifts, we do all pick one evening to all go out to dinner around the holidays, but that's about it!

    I voted for nothing.  We stopped when people started having babies. We used to spend $10-15. Then we started going out to dinner.  The past few years we haven't done anything.  I guess life is getting hectic for all of us.

    We normally don't do friend gifts either, maybe dinner but mostly we just buy for the kids. Some of my super close friends I will make some cookies or something and buy a cute plate at Kohls or TJMaxx or somewhere for less than $5.00. Really, there isn't a set budget!
    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     I exchange gifts with four of my friends. Some have children, some don't. We don't have spending guidelines. Buy what works, and what you can afford. I look forward to getting/giving gifts to my girlfriends.
