AW: small baby update!
Baby's a boy!
We had our "big" u/s yesterday...well half of it b/c they didn't finish getting all the images as baby was napping and did not like the u/s wand anywhere near him. He'd move away from it and go back to sleep. Last u/s he wouldn't stop moving long enough for them to get a good view. So far all 3 u/s techs have referred to him as "uncooperative"...I think we might be in trouble!
Other than that, we (yes, we) gained 6lb in 4 wks. Previously the doctor thought I should gain 10-20lb total for the entire pregnancy but we set a newer, more realistic goal of 30lb after that surge. I didn't bother to tell her it was probably all the PC candy cane ice cream that I've been eating (and the gingerbread cookies, fudge and the hershey's kisses). Maybe it's all that sugar that's keeping me from sleeping at night!

And I say enjoy your icecream, for someone who's pretty much halfway I couldn't even tell you were pregnant on the weekend, so eat up and feed the growing baby boy of yours!

LOL yeah I've been feeling lots of movement and they said it's because I don't have much room for him in there though my waist is 4.5" larger so I notice a difference!

Just depends on what I wear. It was a very loose and forgiving shirt.

Does knowing that he's a he make it feel any more real??
Well, it has made a HUGE difference for DH to know the gender plus just getting to see him move on the u/s again. It's suddenly all he talks about. It made him 100x more excited and so much more real for him to be able to begin to picture our our family of 3 with mum, dad and baby boy...So in that way, it feels more real for me too. Plus all the movement this past week is great. For us, it was the best decision to find the gender now.
