Sister Dog
My sister has an 11 yr old cocker spaniel. She LOVES this dog. My aunt bought it for her when my parents were separated. This dog became her best friend and her baby. Today she found out Maizee has aggresive stage 2 cancer. They thought they got it all out a couple weeks ago, but today confirmed there is still more. My sister is a mess. She isn't sure what to do.
I am not a big animal person, but I actually got all teary eyed. I love this dog too!

ILs dog had cancer and they seriously tried everything. The poor girl even went through chemo for months - and it honestly went on longer than it should because she was clearly getting worse, not better - but a dog is part of the family and its so hard to make the decision to let it go. Buddy has all sorts of problems and it kills me when I know he's sick and I don't know what I'm going to do when he goes. Steve tells Buddy all the time he has to live forever lol

Considering what happened to Riley, Lexi has to be the healthiest dog ever.
I'm so sorry for your sister and her dog. I know how much it hurts to watch your best friend suffer. The best thing she can do is spend lots of quality time with Maizee and love her as much as possible. It's not time to make any drastic decisions until Maizee's quality of life is suffering. Have her look into Care Credit if she wants to treat the cancer again and finances are an issue.
