I just got back from my OB appt and we have an induction date of 12/26 @ 8am!!! Doc wants to get baby out sooner rather than later because of some medical problems with me so we are inducing a week before my EDD. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't believe I am almost done! Yay for baby.

Ok so I'm not imagining things - I did see you and P at Dr. Lindauer's office today! I didn't realize it was you guys until I was already outside, but you guys were walking in with the nurse as I was checking out. Anyway I'm glad you have an end in sight! Yay!

Dr. Leeman induced me a week before my EDD as well. It was an okay experience but be prepared. You may be in there for a while (they started my Pitocin at 9:30 and I didn't deliver until after midnight). Congratulations though!!

I had a scheduled induction with dd #1 and my water broke about 5 hours before I was supposed to get to the hospital. With dd #2, Dr. Miller induced at 9:00 and she was born at 5:11 pm, she was face up so I had to push for 2+ hours otherwise she would have been here a lot sooner. Good luck!!!

My son was due on December 13th (17 years ago!) but did not arrive til Dec 27th. Back in those days, they let you go until you went into labor unless there were specific reasons not to. I had my first detailed ultrasound on the 26th, 13 days after he was due, and they thought he weighed at least 10 1/2 lbs...but the ultrasound specialist said "I could be off 10% either way so this is anywhere from a 9 1/2 to 11 1/2 lb baby!" Needless to say they did a C section the next morning on the 27th and my bouncing baby boy came out at 9 lbs. 1 1/2 oz. Fortunately he was on the low end of the doctor's guess!
