Re: **Ticked off Thursday**
LOL awesome...
1. I feel like crap
2. I am running in a 5k on Saturday, and I have not trained.
3. My bff had her baby yesterday, and I want to go see her, but I don't feel well.
I'll start....
A month ago we had to have a very large plumbing job done at our house and wound up costing over $1000. Since DH and I have a large life insurance policy, and since my employer also pays for one for me I decided to see what the payout would be for the one I had been paying into for a few years. I was told that the surrender total would be just under $1400. Great. I filled out the paperwork, sent it in, cancelled it on my end, etc. Since last week I've been trying to contact them to find out where the check is. Finally yesterday I get an email saying that the woman I've been dealing with contacted the home office and the check has been sent in the amount of $396. Um, WHAT??? I contacted her right back and said that is $1000 less then what you told me, and pasted that part from her original email to me. Her response - oh, I'm really sorry, but someone made an error and copied and pasted your cash value not your surrender total when I asked for the information. This is all you are entitled to. I emailed her back and asked for an immediate phone call. All she kept saying was I'm, sorry, but what do you want me to do about it.
I am still so upset from it. I usually hold my temper well, not yesterday. I just about went ape *** on her. We aren't talking someone gave the wrong amount by $20, we are talking a $1000 mistake. She tells me there is nothing that can be done. I still want to get sick over it.
Merry freakin' Christmas to you too....
I am sick of hearing about Tiger Woods and the Silarhis. Our President just ordered another 30k troops to Afghanistan and that took up a whole 5 minutes of the news before it went on to crap.
I am getting pretty sick of my boss. He either needs to understand that I have a husband with advanced stage cancer and all the stuff that goes with it or fire me. He says I am preocupied... OF COURSE I AM. But as long as the work is getting done like it has been for the last 4 years what does it matter?
And finally, we get results today from DH's chest scan and brain MRI. I have a feeling its going to be bad. My husband has been in so much pain lately. He says he'd rather die than live with this pain. Hopefully something can be done about it.
I'm sorry Dar. It really sucks, especially at this time of year. Was your bill for your closing? That same thing happened to us the last time we did a refi. Because of the relationship we had with the office the owner lowered the amount. Why is it, if it does in fact have to do with your closing, that they tell you the night before as they are leaving the office so that you can't get in touch with them until it is too late.
Most New York state senator's suck. There are plenty of rumors as to why people didn't vote for the bill and why so many votes changed but in the end it comes down to politics as usual. People didn't have the balls to vote to protect all their constituents, instead they opted to protected just some.
But the really crappy thing is that nothing in NY would have changed except you would have had some weddings and thus increased state revenue. NY already recognizes my marriage but because we can't marry here we spent our money in another state hosting a lovely wedding and feeding into their tax system. Way to screw yourself NY.
I'm just having a week from hell! My aunt died of a sudden heart attack. Tyler has been having extra super tantrums, we had a horrible time trying to go to the library yesterday. I ended up carrying him out under one arm, Brianna in the other both screaming, EVERYONE was giving me the look of death, I cried so hard all the way home! Our power went out in the storm last night and DH spent 2 hours going up and down the stairs with buckets of water from the sump pump hole to keep our basement from flooding, we hadn't gotten around to installing any sort of back up. He didn't get to bed until after 1am and had to get up at 5:30am for the most important meeting he has had in about 5 years! I wasn't paying close attension to what I was doing when cutting Brianna's nails last night and just about cut off the tip of her thumb! It looks so bad, I have been debating on taking her to the Dr today to have it checked out. DH was clearing all the SanDisk photo cards and accidently reformated a card with tons of pics on it that never got down loaded! I lost like 2 months of Brianna's photos!!! I could keep going.
I just want to crawl under a rock.
Ditto
ugh- there is something up with my left hand..carpal tunel or the way the baby is laying or something...my hand feels like there is a low roaring fire pulsing through it (much like it would be if Edward bit me- I imagine)
and my middle and ring finger are swollen tight with pins and needles dancing on them...
and the past two nights it has woken me up...
c'mon the last couple weeks have to be as good as the past nine months..
