Anyone else distracted at work?
I seriously can not do work. I have stuff to do but I can not motivate at all for the reasons below:
1. Holiday starts at 1pm tomorrow and I'm off till the 2nd.
2. Accounting for my vaca time, I have 23.5 days left of work till I leave to have the babies (and probably won't come back)
3. No one is here to stop by my desk or check on me so why should I do anything?
Re: Anyone else distracted at work?
Enjoy your time off!
Should I come by and check on you? he he he
LOL! I'm with you!
But it's hard for me to be motivated anyways because I have no direct reports in Ohio!
And, of course, like you, I can't stop thinking about how many days I have left before baby! It's getting so close.
Q: Does all of NW get to get out early? Or is it just your department? I hate deciding when to leave on days like tomorrow since I don't have a boss.
Totally...I don't have that much to do right now and I am just waiting for my co-worker to get back to take a walk...then I volunteer tonight, have a bunch of stuff to get done at the house, have a stupid meeting tomorrow morning and then have a work lunch...and then will probably goof off in the office until time to go home!
Wow, only 23.5 days? That's impressive.
What day are you planning on being your last day before having the babies?
I forgot #4:
I have to get up so often to either pee or get more water that I can't get anything done anyway.
Danica- you can come by but I'll just be here on the Nest.
)
Buckeyechick - My last day is Feb 1st. Then I'm putting myself on bedrest. I'll be 35 weeks.
Jody - what time you leave tomorrow is dependant on your boss. It's not really a NW policy that says you get out early. Heck if I were you, I'd work from home tomorrow and 'leave' when you want. :-)
It is super barebones around here, but I too shall be back on the 26th (used up all the vacation with the wedding)
just kind of going through the motions of working...
not fun
