I'm looking for some ideas for homemade xmas gifts - I'm more of a meaningful gift giver and I'm in search of some new ideas...other than the hot cocoa in a jar, cookie mix in a jar - Are you doing anything homemade this year? I would love to hear it!
Married 6/10/09 in Bermuda.
Re: Homemade gifts ?
I might do some body scrubs. I have done a brown sugar scrub and want to try a coffee scrub. Recipes are as follows:
Brown Sugar Scrub
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup EVOO (I actually used almond oil instead but the EVOO is cheaper)
2 tablespoons honey
Coffee Scrub
2 cups coarsley ground coffee
1/2 cup raw sugar
3 tablespoons EVOO
I love, love, love those lavender/eucalyptus-scented heatable wraps you can make with socks and rice.
I think everyone gets sore muscles, etc, once in awhile and those are incredibly useful....
or try www.oneprettything.com --she has a whole gift guide!
Check the craft board for ideas too, I go over to it sometimes and they are super creative.
I'm so busy this year I'm not really making anyone gifts (unless I just give out things that didn't sell at my craft shows) but in the past I've made wreathes, crochet blankets, stockings...
A co-worker of mine made a really cute cookbook with family recipes in it and added all sorts of photos and got it printed through Shutterfly. She brought it in the other day and it was a really nice idea. I may do it next year.
