Hey Ladies-
I'm writing to you from sunny San Francisco. We have moved and we are settling in great. I had struggled a whole lot the first week, feeling depressed, and I cried a whole lot. Since Thanksgiving, things have been so much better and the kids have finally gotten accustomed to be here. We've been going to all the parks near us and taken a few trips to the beach.
Here is my question with a little background. We had our wedding pictures taken by katrina with beyond the moment. Everything was amazing until after our wedding. We found out that a bunch of our picturs were lost and had to retake pictures 2 months after our wedding. It was all of the ones of me getting ready, our flowers, and the pictures of my bridesmaids and i. Then, i ordered my album. By June when i checked in wiht the status of our album, i was told that they wanted to show me pictures before they put it in the album and also to discuss the cost of the extra pages. Because of a miscommunication, i ended up with a scrapbooked wedding album, not much better than what i could have done without matted pages, with the pages in the wrong color. Finally after a year and a half, we had our album. We were never offered compensation for anything so we requested that we had the rights to our pictures, we were refused. We felt as though it was the only fair thing to do since none of our money was refunded. It was in our contract that they had the rights to our pictures, but we felt that because of everything that had happened, we should be granted the rights. We then said we could no longer recommend them as photographers, even though we love our pictures, the service afterwards was terrible.
Since then, I have had no communication with Katrina, even though prior to our wedding, we had gotten to know them really well and it felt awful the way things ended. I am still wanting the rights to my pictures, three years later, but who knows if thats going to happen, they no longer take wedding pictures, so I had been thinking about asking again. There is one specific picture that I want because it would go so well in Hannah's nursery (its my bridesmaid's little feet). I have always been so upset I could never make albums for each of our families. So what do you think? Would you ask?
Re: Its been a while! And I have a question!
That is too bad that you had to deal with all of that! I would definatley ask- the worst that can happen is that she will say no. I would be upset too!
