Poll---favorite part of the holiday season
What are the most favorite things you look forward to during the holidays?
I love-love-love cutting down our tree (although this year there was an incident
), and I also just love watching "White Christmas" with my Granddad.
Re: Poll---favorite part of the holiday season
Well don't leave us hanging, now you have to tell us what the incident was! We need more posts anyway
I love decorating, celebrating with my family, and both giving and opening presents.
I love Chanukkah... lighting the menorah, not wrapping presents (my family hides the gifts & we play hot-cold- I still make them even though everyone else hates it).
I'm learning to "appreciate" Christmas but it's kind of weird. I love that my FIL sits us by the fire on Christmas eve & reads the Night Before Christmas or whatever it is.
Waking up Christmas morning next to DH.
Watching my niece and nephew open up their gifts and playing with them on Christmas day.
Decorating the tree and remembering all the memories each ornament has created over the years.
AND putting the reindeer antlers on my doggies. They hate it but it's just so cute.
Baking cookies
Wrapping gifts and arranging them just right under the tree
Going to church on Christmas eve even though it is usually packed
Eating my dad's pancakes on Christmas morning
Getting together with my extended family and eating good food
Adoption Blog
seriously, everything. Although I like decorating the tree less than I used to- I usually have to do it alone. This year it's OUR tree, not mine, so it'll be more fun.
And all the crazy Christmas crafting I get into. Last night I started on a gum drop wreath (and ran out of gumdrops, so I bought more today), a Christmas stocking for myself, and made the mock-up of our Christmas card and ordered the photos for it.
All the cooking and baking
And the Christmas events- parties, craft fairs, tree festivals, singing Christmas hymns in church.?
