Hey guys - my hubby and I went to the Black and Bleu Restaurant tonight where Julianna's used to be. The food was decent - we had seafood nachos (which were actually potato chips that were made on site) and lobster and shrimp then I had a salad with calamari and steak and he had a prime rib open faced sandwich.
I would say they had a good mix of salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pasta meals (both half and full portions) and full entrees. The prices were decent about $8-12 for the salads and sandwiches and $12-25 for the pastas and entrees.
They have not changed the inside at all -even the art work is still the same. Its like they just changed the name and menu.
Overall I would defintally give it another chance!
Re: Black and Bleu Restaurant
Thanks for the review! Sounds like the food was pretty good, and I always think it's a good sign if the service isn't awful so soon after a restaurant opening.
I've got to say, the whole red X thing is weird though. Did they explain the meaning of it? Because to me, red X = do not enter, closed.
No and I didn't really ask the paper had said that it was supposed to be lit up and the lights would change with the seasons but it wasn't lit up so I really have no clue... Juliannas never utilized those overhangs either. If it were me I would put the name of the restaurant up there because it sits pretty far back from the pike.
The service was really good though our waitress was very attentive and they seemed to a lot of wait staff so noone was stressed out or anything.
