So last weekend we went to a well know family restaurant after D's cousin's hockey game. There were 7 of us and we got TERRIBLE service. Really, it was a horrible experience.
The bottom of the bill had an online survey. I took it yesterday and surprisingly got a phone call from the owner less than 24 hours later. He said he just bought the franchise a week and a half ago and is making changes. He apologized and asked us all to come back for dinner on the house.
Great. We decided to go tonight. I just got off the phone with D's grandmother and she also invited his free loading good for nothing uncle and his family - so 4 extra people for a FREE DINNER. I flat out told her that they would not be getting a free meal and I wasn't about to try.
When I called to tell the owner we were coming tonight, I stressed that it's 11 people, but only 7 of us were there last week - that another family would be joining us.
Ack - they're horrible freeloaders. We only go out for dinner with them once a year - for christmas because they're so badly behaved. They will eat 3/4 of their meal, get full and then send it back saying it was too salty. This is for real - they actually did this to me when I was waitressing years ago.
Wish me luck. I can only imagine what'a going to happen. My guess is that D's grandfather will order an appetizer, full entree and dessert and the uncle will order soup and they'll switch ![]()
Re: So embarassed
Ugh, they sound awful. Good luck with the dinner!
Let us know how it goes, sounds like a few entertaining stories may come out of the evening if nothing else!
This exactly - we need to see evidence of this
Hope it went OK
Did your gran stress to them that their dinner wasn't free? How awkward. ?
I can't wait for a recap though!!
Yikes, I hate dining with people like that
Please tell me you got video evidence for us!
Hope it went well
