Thank You cards?

I think this was brought up before, but what are you ladies doing with your thank you cards?  I was cleaning tonight and organized all the cards from the shower and wedding and some are really pretty as well as expensive--not saying I am going to keep it if it was a pricey card, but it would also be nice to memories.

Any suggestions on what to do with them?  What did you do with yours?

Re: Thank You cards?

  • Thank you cards? Are you talking about shower and wedding cards you got from guests? If that's what you meant, I have a wedding-keepsakes box that I put them all in. I thought about putting them in an album, but I'm not sure how I would put them in an album to make both the front and inside visible. I kept all of my returned RSVPs too... so maybe I'm not the person to ask. Apparently I can't get rid of anything wedding related hahaha! :)

  • I think you mean wedding/shower card guests gave you?  If so, I was planning on just tossing mine but then i went to a few antique shops and they had old photo/wedding albums and I thought they were so awesome.  So I am just going to put mine in a photo album thing and just keep them.  Pull them out from time to time....some of the cards were really decorative/pretty so I feel bad throwing them away.
  • Lol   yes that is what I meant!!  I finished thank you cards yesterday and must of had them on the brain.  Thanks ladies!!

  • I'm keeping some of mine but not a lot.  Pretty much just the ones where people took more time than just signing their names and left us a personal note.  At one of my showers, they played a game where each guest had to write their favorite memory of me on an index card.  One of the hosts read each aloud and I had to guess who it was.  I still have those in my nightstand and pull them out from time to time.
  • Mine are still in the birdcage I used to collect them at the reception, and I have a smaller matching bridcage that's holding all of the RSVPs. Eventually I'll do something else that won't just be collecting dust, but for now, this is my solution.

  • Right now mine all sitting in a basket in the way because I haven't come up with anything to do with them yet. I'm definitely going to do something creative with them though.
