Well actually my parents will be taking them since they paid for the album. We were married in October of 2007. Our album proofs were up in December of '07. We gave them final approval on the album design on June 28th, 2008. We should have had our pictures in February of 2009. It has been about 9 months now since we should have had them, and 17months since we gave them the final approval.
This has been going on for a while now, they have been very vague about it when we have e-mailed them and it's getting old now.
I'm very sad I still have no wedding pictures, no proofs, no album, no 11x14 print. I am praying that nothing happened to them. MH e-mailed them and asked them point blank if something happened to our pictures and they said no so I don't know WTH is going on.
It's been very frustrating to say the least.
Re: Will be taking our wedding photog to small claims court
Another update. DH just looked at the small claims court back home and the maximum you can go for is $2,000. So that won't work. DH is going to send them a certified letter and threaten legal action and see if they speed it up. If that doesn't work my mom can hire an attorney and take them to court but I'm not sure that would be worth it because in the end the cost of the attorney and fees would be more than the album. Or she can hire a lawyer to write a letter and threaten a law suit which should hopefully scare them into doing it.
Grr this is so complicated and I hate having to go this extreme. My wedding pictures are just so important to me and I don't want to cause trouble all I want is my album.
What a freakin' nightmare. I am so sorry, Belle, and hope everything works out.
Ugh! What a nightmare! You should absolutely fight for your wedding pictures. Just like you said, they are so important. Ditto PPs, certified letter would be the first step. In the letter, give them a definite time frame to either respond or produce the records. You have until (date or 30 days from the date of this letter) to produce the photographs or contact me regarding when the photographs will be available to us. Yada ya.
Good luck and let us know!!
