I bought TCOYF.
When I went to Target yesterday to refill my BC, I was told they no longer make it.
Thanks for the heads-up, nobody. I got the generic which last time turned me into a moody nightmare. That was a different level of hormones, though, so fingers crossed this generic is OK. I got TCOYF in case I decide to go off BC altogether, something I'd been thinking about for next summer, though reading the book last night scared the crap out of me. It seems the signs you are fertile show up after the fertility is stopped so all you can say is "Whoops! Shouldn't'a had sex that night or five days before it!" I hope I get better at this.
Re: Confessions...
It cracks me up how backwards I am. Everyone that got married is going OFF of birth control. Now that I am married, I just went ON it.
...and a confession on the topic...
I am more afraid now about getting pregnant than I was when husband and I were just boyfriend and girlfriend.

I'm also going on BC eventually for the first time. Shag and I are rebels.
Confession: I bugged DH to get me added to his health plans and to verify/confirm it was all set, and I still haven't made any appointments. I'm way overdue to see a few doctors, but I'm too lazy to figure out who to go to.

Okay, here's a real one. I'm going to attempt to make a single panel curtain tonight and have no frigging clue what I'm doing and will probably ruin the material I bought from IKEA and DH will probably laugh at me for insisting I own a sewing machine, and my mom will roll her eyes since she's the one who caved and bought it for me two years ago and knows I haven't used it since.

You're right, steph! I need to just suck it up, get a recommendation and call. I would prefer to have a GP that can also do gyn exams. My BFF's does, but it's a dude, and I'm a little weird about having a guy do those kind of exams.
Leigha - You're one up on me! I don't even OWN a sewing machine. If you can extra material, don't sweat it if you mess up!

Here's my confession:
I started drinking soy milk because I just really enjoy it. I have no dietary or health reasons to merit it, I just really enjoy the taste. Husband just laughs at me and exclaims "You're not lactose intolerant! Just drink milk!"
But milk is gross. Why would anyone voluntarily subject themselves to it, anyways?!

Maybe that's why I've never drank much milk--I didn't realize I didn't like it. Now, if I had been drinking soy milk all along, man I would have drank it a lot more as a child.
I have cousins who drink milk as their beverage with dinner every night, and it makes me sick to think about it. Milk with steak? Milk with pasta?

VOM.
I have milk issues. As a kid I would drink milk all the time, but only in a cup with a lid because I didn't like the smell of it. But one day I set my sippy cup on my bedroom desk. Drank it a day later and RAN to the bathroom to spit it out... as you can imagine what its state was.

This is what DH does. Last night we had a frozen pizza for dinner and he drank milk with it. He's way more into milk than I am.
ugh. That would be enough to turn me off from milk for the rest of my life.
Try Silk. I think it may change my life.
I only like milk when I'm dunking Oreo cookies in it. Otherwise, I exclusively use/drink soy milk (Silk, in fact).
That wasn't a confession, but I didn't have a good one. And I did have something to say about the milk conversation.
I'm super weird about milk because of that. I never just drink a glass of milk or even dunk cookies in. The thought of drinking crumbly milk is nasty to me anyway. I will use it on my cereal, but it has to be ICE COLD. If it at one point in its little life sat unrefrigerated for longer than a minute, I CAN TELL. Needless to say, I also have to hoover my cereal.
Hilarious that the confessions thread is now a milk thread.

Oh Lark... I don't know what's going on, but something must have changed in me, and I'm not as anti-TTC/baby as I was a few months ago... but that's a confession for another day.Lucy Elizabeth 10.27.12
uh oh. That's how it all starts...

But it's not a leap from TTA to TTC it seems. Once you start charting and measuring CM, it's a slippery slope!

Ew, just ew. In my best Stewie voice: That's not funny!

I confess that I despise milk as well. Gag.
I also confess that I don't think it's necessarily fair that men get blamed for cheating when the women who marry them know that that is their nature. Not saying cheating is ok by any means, but hello! If you marry someone for the money and the lifestyle and are willing to overlook some of their tendencies because of that, don't be so surprised that they turn out to be the person you were afraid of.?

I had to do this too... it took effort. I still mess up occasionally especially when I'm in a hurry signing the credit card machine at the grocery store or whatever.

I love milk (1% only). I could drink it at every meal and be perfectly happy. Whole milk makes me want to gag though.
Mamie I beg to differ! I've been off BC for 2 1/2 years and I chart, and we are not anywhere close to TTC. I just hated what BC was doing to my body and so charting became my BC. I LOVE it!
Lark - good luck! You'll get the hang of it in no time!
