lol, I am still not sure that anyone reads these anymore, but here's what we're eating this week (groceries came to just under $100):
Monday: Parmesan & Sage Crusted Pork Chops w/ mashed potatos and roasted veg;
Tuesday: Roasted chicken breast with Winter Salad (wow, let me just say that getting the seeds from a pomegranate is much more complicated than I thought it was - thank goodness for Google!);
Wednesday: Pakistani-style Beef Stew with flat bread;
Thursday: Leftovers;
Friday: Dallas's work Christmas party.
Re: Menus
I read them, Mel. I just don't have much to contribute. We've been working our way through a stash of freezer meals. When I do cook, it's been pretty basic and not well thought out, so my weekly menues aren't worth posting.
I'm done work this week, so maybe I'll get back into gear and participate next week.
You can't stop posting!!!!! I am doing a collection from your menu's so that when I am off starting next week I can make a feeble attempt to be half the planner / cook that you are.
Every Monday when I come home with your menu my DH asks if you want to adopt him!
I always try to get to the menus on mondays as I love the menu posts. Don't stop!
A lot of our meals I've been trying to make baby friendly (smaller, tender bits) so that DD can join in on our foodie fun
Monday: Veal risotto w/zucchini, tomato and spinach
Tuesday: Baked stuffed chicken (broccoli, cheese), mashed potatoes, extra broccoli
Wednesday: leftovers
Thursday: Penne in homemade tomato sauce with country garlic sausage (DD gets pastina instead of penne), salad (and DD will have spinach in her pasta)
Friday: Turkey pot pies
Psssh ya right. I wish.
No, I get the most excellent ones from the Farmers' Market. There's a turkey farmer that sells all kinds of cuts of turkey (seasoned or not) and also makes his own meatloaf and pot pies. And they are the best pot pies I have ever. tasted.
