and I freakin' LOVE it! If you drink coffee - you need one
We actually got it on Thursday last week, so we were able to use it all weekend and I swear it's the best $ we've spent in a long time. The model we got (B70) has an on/off program so during that length of time you can have coffee whenever you want, if it's after the machine has shut "off" for the day, you just hit a button and it's ready to go in about 4 mins. There's 5 cup sizes including an "iced" coffee option (which we haven't tried yet) so you're good to go for any size mug you have. Ours also comes w/ a filter for the water reservoir so you can use tap water and don't have to worry about it affecting the taste of the coffee or it messing with your machine...and it holds 60 ozs., we could go 2 or 3 days w/o having to add more water. And it's soooo quiet! I've heard other Keurigs brewing before and while they're not crazy loud or anything, they did have a definite amount of noise associated with them.
The Cinnamon color we got too is beautiful. Honestly, what held us back for a long time was the color...which I know sounds odd, but they were only ever avail. in black or the stainless look, neither of which I have in my kitchen. And if it's something I need to look at everyday, it needs to look good and not be an eyesore. I have a lot of burgundy accents in my kitchen, and it fits in perfectly ![]()
Anyway, I highly recommend it! I know there were a few ladies that commented in my previous post saying they were thinking about getting one, so I just wanted to share another opinion.
Re: Got our Keurig...
I bought the reusable filter but I haven't perfected the amount of coffee grinds in it yet (either too strong or too weak). The filter was about $15 from kohls.
Ours also came with the reusable filter thingy, but we haven't used it yet because we're still working our way through the variety pack testing out flavors/varieties. But I know I will def. use it a lot...I like a few particular brands/flavors that are not available in the k-cups (as far as I know anyway). I hadn't thought about recycling the k-cups...I just checked them to see if there was a symbol on the bottom, but there isn't.
DH and I like different things so it was always a compromise in the morning. I like flavored coffee and a lot of times choose decaf or half-caf over the regular, DH prefers a darker, more bold roast. Now we both get what we want. It's great for tea too, like an instant hot water spout...my mom wanted tea when she was over last night, and I just ran a cycle w/o a k-cup and she had her tea super fast.
