Few of my weekend highlights:
1. Waking up to snow on a Saturday is merely tolerable when you have no reason to leave your house.
2. Otis Spunkmeyer fundraiser cookie dough is amazing and also the devil.
3. "Love Actually" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" are now crossed off my "movies to see" list.
4. Even though I still don't understand like 70% of the rules, I understand the pull to watching football.

Re: How was your weekend?
Well, I successfully shopped for all the gifts I have to mail out this year (so, about 1/4 done Christmas shopping). UT won the Big 12 Championship, but nearly gave us all a heart attack in the process. My pup had a play date with an older dog his breed, which entertained the heck out of us, and then he slept almost all day yesterday as a result. We got the tree and interior of the house decorated yesterday, and I actually cooked last night. So all in all, pretty good! But I'm exhausted.
ETA: Forgetting Sarah Marshall = awesome!
My Bio (wedding pics added 7/6)
My 101
Surprisingly good considering it was spent with the ILs.
MIL is too distracted by her step daughter's latest antics and Cookie Monster to ramble endlessly about how great BIL's upcoming wedding will be.
DH's grandma asked to spend Sun. afternoon with me making some of their traditional holiday goodies and telling stories. It was really nice because his grandpa joined in the story-telling part. He is definitely the strong silent type so to have him open up a little was a big deal.
We discovered that BIL and his golddigging FI are using all of the same colors we used in our wedding. And that they sent out STD's to the rest of the family but not to us. When we asked Grandma if she just received it and it was sent a while ago, she was pretty annoyed. Then she confirmed our suspicion that she doesn't approve of his FI either but since he doesn't want to listen to anyone, we're just going to stand by and watch.
It was fine. We got our tree and I decorated most of the interior of the house so it looks great around here and I'm really happy with it. I spent two hours wrapping presents yesterday so I feel good about that, too.
I still have that stupid paper hanging over my head though. I've read a ton of articles and none of them are awesome and I just want to be done with it because I can't relax until I am (well, actually I have another paper to work on when it's done, but that has a much more flexible time line). I just want it to be OVER.

Mine was pretty good. DH and I go to chicago the first weekend of December every year, so I ate/drank my way through the city and shopped so much my bank account hurts. I did, however, buy a HOTT pair of shoes (or two) and a few other things.
Back to the grind today. And by grind, I mean both work and the gym.
And Love, Actually and Forgetting Sarah Marshall are 2 of my favorite movies.
Friday went to dinner with M and his brother. Watched Mama Mia with M as well.
Saturday went and cut down our tree, decorated the tree and house. We also cleaned/organized the sunroom.
Sunday did some shopping and babysat.

My favorite favorite part of Forgetting Sarah Marshall is when he plays the Seinfeld music. I laughed forever at that.
I bought supplies for/made most of my gifts - baked biscotti, made cinnamon ice cream, watched the SEC Championship (even though I couldn't decide who I wanted to win... it was worth it to see Tebow sob though) and the Saints game!! Aaaand, that's about it. It was pretty relaxing which was good since the next 3 weekends are going to be nonstop.
TMI VHCOLEMAN. STOP RIGHT THERE.
Just kidding
That must have been the coolest thing!
We had a good weekend. I didn't study nearly enough for one of my exams tonight, but I can't seem to care.
Our house is decorated (but needs to be deep cleaned!), most of my shopping is done, and our menu planned for our big holiday party this coming Saturday.
Friday DH had some friends over but I had to go to bed early because I proctored the CFA exam on Saturday. I was up early and there until late, but it was an easy (yet boring) way to make $300. Afterwards, I met him at a friend's house for a dinner party. Yesterday we spent the day with my family- went out to a nice lunch and then my dad (who is a professional photographer) took some pictures of us for our Christmas card. Came home, DH cooked dinner while I drank wine, and we watched The Amazing Race.
