I found a package at our front door when I got home today, checked the return address to see who it was from (I ordered lots of things over the weekend, and wasn't expecting any of them by today). It's from my Aunt Mindy, so I open the box, (I haven't opened the present, b/c its for both of us, so I'm waiting until J gets home to open it). But on the wrapping paper she's written "Breanne and John
NOT a Christmas present! Open Now!"
I busted out laughing when I read it.
Apparently my reputation for not opening presents until the occasion is getting well known in the family. If you ship me a birthday present and it comes a week before my birthday, I'll wait until my birthday to open it. Same thing with Christmas presents.
Re: LOL...had to share.
lol I do this too. My family doesn't open Christmas presents until after dinner so when we celebrate with P's family (they open everything first thing in the morning) I save all the presents that came from my family until after dinner to open.
Oh that's so exciting!! Let us know what it is
.
I am the exact opposite btw. When we receive a package we open it immediately. Now, all of our Christmas presents come saying DO NOT OPEN TILL CHRISTMAS lol. I do obey if there are written instructions =p.
Hmmm. I guess it depends on who it's from! I will, if I get a package for both of us-wait for DH to come home prior to opening it...
Wow! That is exciting!!!
