Is this a new trend I don't know about?
Re: Is this a new trend I don't know about?
guao...Attention Whore much?
It just seems like an extra party to me. There's already a baby shower. And then the come and see the baby gtg's.
But...who am I to turn down additional reasons to party??? (I'm cranky today.)
And like I said, mine would be much more low key and just for family. A few people to dinner and a cake to cut after. No big hooplah like this chick had.
I've been hearing of these recently, but not within my group of friends. I think it's kinda cute, but not for me.
A ton of girls on the bump did it.
I considered it, because J couldn't come with to our BIG u/s appointment (my mom did) but it was a lot easier to just go to Target, get a baseball outfit and say "There's a 80% chance that our baby has a penis!"
That's how my mom found out about my brother. She told the U/S tech that she didn't want to know, but when the U/S tech was doing the scan, the lady said, "Oooooh, I see it!"
My mom was none too pleased.
Can you marble it so no ones feelings are hurt?
Agree with this. I really want to buy gender neutral in our big ticket items- stroller, car seat, high chair, etc. So that if we have a girl and a boy, things can be reused. That stuff is expensive, and from what I've seen some of it is used for such a short time. I want to get every penny out of it that I can!
AND you're CDing. I think I love you!
It's cute, but NMS. I found out via U/S on all 3 kids - they did sooooo many U/S on the girls because of complications I think I got weekly glimpses of their bits. With Austin, the tech outlined his peen and wrote "I'm a boy" on the U/S pic.
DH's nephew and his girlfriend were told consistently they were having a girl (this is the surprise baby they had in June, apparently she did get prenatal care) and went and had a pink car seat and everything. Their boy little boy still sits in a pink car seat, and all his early pics are of him in all pink.
