Thoughts on tomorrow's weather?
It seems like all the weathermen have no clue what time or what we'll be getting. Some say snow, some ice, some sleet, some rain, a mix? No one can make up their mind.
I've had a head cold for a few days now and I'm exhausted due to lack of sleep and being busy during the day = no rest. So I'm thinking I'm calling in sick tomorrow regardless of the weather and then if I get the day off it's an added bonus. I'm not thinking we will though, a delay at most is my two cents.
Re: Thoughts on tomorrow's weather?
For the Buffalo area it looks like things should start later tonight and continue through Thursday. By 11am tomorrow the temp should climb to above freezing bringing on the winter mix. It looks like the temp drops again around 1am on Thursday.
I forget where you are but I would check the hour by hour on weather.com. That is always where I go for my info.
I'm a SAHM now....but snow days were always my highlight of the winter
I heard there aren't many of those issued here in NY. Is that true?
I think I'll need to run for more cookie ingredients, too! Great idea.
This is true, usually just a few a year. NY is very stingy with their snow days since this state is pretty equipped and organized with dealing with lots of snow to make the roads drivable.
We didn't get a single snow day last year. I was disappointed.
My old job in Albany was very stingy. They'd wait until the roads were piled high with snow to send us home early and expected us in the morning of the ice storm last year. I don't think Albany is very well equipped to handle snow. They don't even send out snow plows until after "rush hour," where it'll take 2 hours for an otherwise 20 minute commute.
At this point, I'd rather take a vacation day than risk my life and car on Albany roads! If work doesn't give it to me, I take it off.
