Today is the memorial service for the 4 Lakewood, WA offiers who were killed while having a cup of coffee and gettting ready for their shift. I keep seeing parts of it on TV and hearing parts on the raido and I am in awe at the brotherhood and sisterhood police officers have. Last night a plane of over 100 Boston police officers arrived in Seattle to attend the service, each taking time off and paying their own way to say good bye to 3 brothers and a sister in blue they never met. Right now about 3,000 ploice, fire and aid vehicals from all over the US and Canada are making a 10 mile drive to the memorial service. It is an amazing site and makes me greatful for those who protect us here at home.
Big thank you to the men and women in blue who protect and serve us and put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe at home.
Re: Remebering 4 slain officers
Sends chills down my back! It's amazing to see how they ban together! When the officers were killed in Oakland police from all over came to their memorial!
The poor families of those officers! T&P for them today! Can't imagine what they are going through!
There was a recent Police shooting in the town just north of us. We drove thru lots of different towns yesterday and everyone had their flags at half mass. Its amazing how people come together in times like this.
http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2009/12/pharmacist_charged_in_officers.html and I think they're seeking the death penalty.
I worry about my cousin who works w/ the Find units in GA...just over the state line. Its a big drug corridor.
