Should I wake LO up???

I know there is a bump board but I know most of you ladies here. P went down after her 7am feeding, should I wake her to feed her now or wait until she's up on her own? She went to bed at 11pm got up at 1:45 am for a feed and then 7. She was only up for 15 mins during her night feed.

TIA

Re: Should I wake LO up???

  • I would let her sleep.  She might be starting another growth spurt.  There's one around 10-12 weeks, and it looks like she's around that age.

  • embrace long sleeps unless it's going to interfere with the sleep schedule too much.  Like pp said probably just another growth spurt.

  • As all of the females in my family have said to me, as well as the nurse on Friday when D went for his shots "Never wake a sleeping baby" Take the time to nap, clean, paint you nails, etc. :)

  • The only time I have heard of waking a baby to eat is if they are still under their birth weight.
  • Thanks ladies, she's down for a nap since she didn't nap this afternoon. I won't wake her until she wakes herself up. She's above and beyond her birth weight so I'll let her sleep so she can grow more.

  • Ditto what Jen said - if they've surpassed their birthweight, let 'em sleeeeep
