The crazy baby boom continues

I think I mentioned before that I know a ton of pregnant women IRL. As of last night, I know 35 women (including myself) who have given birth since May '09 or are currently pregnant. 35!!! That's not including you lovely nesties (except vanceandlori since we know each other IRL - Vance is DH's cousin).

Last night, yet another co-worker announced that she is pregnant - she is the 11th to get pregnant this year just in our NICU. There are also 3 in post-partum, who we share a breakroom/locker room with. The first of our NICU nurses gave birth yesterday at 37 weeks. 11 pregnant out of maybe 65 nurses. And there are a couple who are still TTC. It's insane.

It shouldn't surprise me anymore but it blew my mind when I counted 19 people and now it's almost double that number! Wow. Just wow.

Wow, you're the opposite of me. I only know one person IRL that's expecting: me. All my close friends and cousins/siblings aren't even engaged yet, and the only ones I know that are married are from church and already have kids or just newly married and not pg yet. And all of MH's friends and siblings/cousins are either already done having kids or also not married yet. And almost all of my coworkers are male, and the few females we do have are also done having kids. Come to think of it, I don't think our LO is gonna have a playmate close to his/her age...the closest would be MH's friend who has a 2yr old...

Yes, she's one of the 35. Haha. I saw the pic on your blog...guess I would have found out there had you not noticed on FB. Never ceases to amaze me how small the world is!

So true! Haha, speaking of which, I had a dream about snowboarding two nights ago, where I organized a trip and got all packed up and drove up to Tahoe. I got up to the slopes with all my gear and everything and then I was like "Crap, I can't board. I'm pg", so I made lunch for everyone instead. What a sad dream =P

Not sure how much of a baby boom is happening here, but we just found out that our neighbor is also pregnant with a boy and due 6 days before me! At least we won't have to worry about bothering them with a crying baby in the middle of the night. Stick out tongue
